Penelope Marshmallow Toast Bourbon Whiskey is a limited Private Batch from the Toasted Series: four-year Indiana bourbon — 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley — finished in a new Char 5 heavy-toast barrel and bottled at 110 proof. Heavy toast caramelizes wood sugars slowly, which is why toasted marshmallow, burnt brown sugar, and smoked vanilla stand out on the palate. Pour it after dinner.
Brown sugar, caramel syrup, and marshmallow fluff lead, then butterscotch, cinnamon snickerdoodle, and graham cracker. The mouthfeel is creamy with a lift of proof heat. Charred marshmallow and toasted oak close a long, warming finish.
