Rare Character Limited Release Batch No. 2 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Rare Character Limited Release Batch No. 2 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Rare Character Limited Release Batch No. 2 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the 2024 RCLR bourbon: barrels set aside for red fruit and citrus, then married with more fifteen-year Kentucky bourbon and 8.5-year stock, bottled at 110.52 proof (55.26% ABV). About 1,360 bottles. The extra age is what you taste as vintage weight and a silky mouthfeel; wheat-leaning barrels keep dessert sweetness in the mix. This is a cold-weather sipper.
Red fruit and citrus open, then a silky, weighted sip of caramel, vanilla, and baking spice with a cherry thread. Oak and sweetness sit together through a long finish. It drinks like older Kentucky bourbon at a proof that still invites a second pour.
