Haystack Needle
Sold out
Redwood Empire 14 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a Haystack Needle single barrel from the Graton, California house: fourteen years in new charred American oak, bottled at cask strength so caramel and dark fruit have to stand up to the extra wood. The Sonoma County distillery selected these extra-aged barrels as a limited, allocated drop — one cask at a time. Pour it over a large cube.
Caramel, dark cherry, and vanilla frosting lead, with dates and a thread of chocolate. Leather, tobacco, and cinnamon fill a full sip while cherry and toffee keep the middle sweet. Mature oak, molasses, and pepper hang on a long, warming close.
