Sagamore Spirit Sherry Finish Rye Whiskey is a limited Maryland Reserve Series rye: 4-year-old straight rye given 18 months in 132-gallon PX sherry butts, so dried fig, raisin, and honey soak the whiskey while the original oak keeps it structured. Distilled and bottled in the United States, it is filled at 106 proof. Open it in cold weather.
Toasted almond and dried fig lead, with raisin, date, honey, and candied orange peel on a velvety sip. Soft rye spice and a thread of cocoa keep the PX sweetness from turning heavy. Cocoa and mild spice linger on a warming finish.
