Talisker The Lustrous Creature of the Depths 11 Year Old 2022 Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Talisker The Lustrous Creature of the Depths 11 Year Old 2022 Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Talisker The Lustrous Creature of the Depths 11 Year Old 2022 Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky is Diageo's limited 2022 Elusive Expressions bottling from Skye: eleven years in American oak, including first-fill ex-bourbon plus refill and wine-seasoned casks, bottled at cask strength 110.2 proof (55.1% ABV). First-fill bourbon is why orchard fruit and honey stay bright against light peat and sea salt. A quiet evening pour.
Crisp apple, nectarine, and citrus lead, with honey and light peat drifting underneath. Sea salt and chili pepper stand out on the palate; the mouthfeel is intense and oily, and the finish returns smoke, salt, and a warming chili flicker.
