Teeling Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is the first whiskey distilled at Teeling's Dublin distillery: a 50% malted / 50% unmalted barley mash, triple pot-distilled, then matured in American virgin oak, bourbon, and sherry casks, non-chill-filtered at 92 proof (46% ABV). Unmalted barley and new oak are why spice, cream soda, and grapefruit show with real grip. Built for a spirit-forward cocktail.
Cinnamon, grapefruit, cream soda, and roasted almond open, then white pepper, kumquat, and peaches and cream. Honey and cooked grain stand out on the palate; the mouthfeel is creamy with a dry spice coat, and the finish lingers on muscovado sugar and pepper.
