Templeton Barrel Strength Straight Rye Whiskey is a limited annual dump of Templeton's 95% rye / 5% malted barley mash: new charred American oak, non-chill filtered, and bottled undiluted from a handful of noteworthy barrels. Full barrel proof is why black pepper and toasted oak stay vivid through the sip. Keep it for a late, slow sit.
Rye spice and black pepper lead a rich, fiery sip, with dark caramel and toasted oak underneath. Baking spice and dried fruit stand out on the palate. Ginger, wood spice, and dry oak hang on a long finish.
