At 18 years old, The Dalmore shows the depth of a mature Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Orange opens with a clear lift against dark chocolate, giving the first sip both brightness and weight. Coffee adds a roasted, gently bitter edge, while raisin holds through the finish with a rounded fruit character. The shift from citrus to darker tones gives the palate a calm, assured shape.
It matures first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then moves to a Matusalem Oloroso sherry cask for the finishing stage, placing that sherry cask at the end of the whisky’s maturation sequence.
It is bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV) and presented in a 750 mL bottle.
