After 18 years in oak casks, The Hakushu 18 Year Old Japanese Single Malt Whisky brings ripe pear into focus beside jasmine. The contrast is clear: rounded fruit against a lighter floral perfume. Produced in Yamanashi, Japan, this Japanese single malt combines long maturation with aromas that remain distinct from one another, giving each a defined place in the profile.
At 86 proof (43% ABV), dried mint gives the palate a cool herbal line, adding definition without overwhelming the opening aromas. The 750 mL bottle is available only in limited quantities. Gentle smoke settles into the finish, soft in weight and never forceful.
