Smoke and apricot sit together at the center of the whisky, while vanilla offers a softer counterpoint. Cognac-like spice follows and remains into the finish, shifting the emphasis from fruit toward spice as the whisky settles.
At cask strength, it comes from the cask without dilution at 94.4 proof (47.2% ABV). The 750 mL bottle may be poured neat, with a small addition of water reserved for those who prefer a gentler proof.
