The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the first limited Harmony release (2021). Whisky maker Polly Logan selected sherry-seasoned European oak for a bitter chocolate note and sherry-seasoned American oak for vanilla sweetness, after working with chocolatier Jordi Roca at Casa Cacao in Girona. Bottled at 88 proof. Save it for dessert.
Dark chocolate and honey lead, with dates and vanilla filling a round sip. Cinnamon, ginger, and a twist of lime stand out on the palate. Rich chocolate hangs on a long finish.
