The Macallan x Sir Peter Blake Anecdotes of Ages Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the limited Anecdotes of Ages bottling An Estate, A Community and A Distillery, created by Lead Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess after Sir Peter Blake's visit to the Speyside estate. Blake, the British pop artist behind The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper sleeve, designed the label; Burgess chose casks for a classic Macallan shape with treacle and cracked black pepper. Bottled at 95.4 proof (47.7% ABV). Pour it as a late-evening dram.
Dried fruit, orange, and clove lead, then treacle, vanilla, and orange oil stand out on the palate with cracked black pepper. The mouthfeel is rich and firm at this strength. Cinnamon and cacao close a long finish.
