Very Olde St. Nick Winter Maple Rye Whiskey is Preservation Distillery’s limited Bardstown blend of Kentucky bourbon and high-rye Indiana whiskey, aged five to six years in new American oak, then finished in American maple and French oak barrels that held Vermont maple syrup. Non-chill filtered, typically around 102 proof, in 1-to-3 barrel lots. Make it a fireside pour.
Maple syrup and orange zest lead, with caramel and cinnamon filling a thick, sweet sip. Graham cracker and gingerbread stand out on the palate. Vanilla, cocoa, and toasted oak hang on a long, warming finish.
