After 21 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, this single-barrel American whiskey receives a finish in a WhistlePig rye barrel. Its path runs from Nova Scotia to Vermont, bringing Canadian and United States origins together through extended maturation. Golden raisin and graham cracker give the first sip a rounded sweetness, with black cherry adding a darker fruit tone beneath.
Maple and praline sit together with deep confectionery richness, giving the whiskey weight without turning heavy. Bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) in a 750 mL presentation, it holds that sweetness firmly in place. Oak draws the close in a drier direction, followed by subtle smoke that lingers after the fruit recedes.
