Wild Turkey 16 Year Old Gold Foil Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Wild Turkey 16 Year Old Gold Foil Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Wild Turkey 16 Year Old Gold Foil Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the inaugural Austin Nichols Archives release from Associate Master Blender Bruce Russell: 16-year Kentucky straight bourbon aged primarily in Camp Nelson rickhouses and bottled at 120 proof (60% ABV), non-chill filtered. Built to recapture the mature-oak funk and cherry-cola depth of Wild Turkey's late-1980s Gold Foil era, the extra years and higher proof keep dark fruit and leather concentrated. Give this one a small, slow pour.
Cherry cola and dark fruit lead, with clove and dark caramel filling a rich, unfiltered sip. Tobacco and cocoa stand out on the palate; peppery spice, brown sugar, and leather ride an extremely long finish.
