This Kentucky American whiskey is oak-led and deeply mature. Willett Family Estate spends 13 years in new charred American white oak before being drawn from a single cask. There is no marriage of multiple barrels; the character belongs to this individual cask. Presented in a 750 mL bottle, it is kept at full cask strength, undiluted at barrel proof rather than reduced before bottling.
Barrel-specific caramel sits beside dried fruit, with cinnamon adding a clear line of spice. Its cask-strength proof also allows the pour to be adjusted with a small amount of water, if preferred. Leather and mature oak provide the closing impression and hold through the finish.
