It was poured as the nine-year course at the 2023 Willett dinner for Whiskey Tampa Foxtrot at Bern’s Steak House. Nine years in new charred oak plus that proof is what concentrates caramel, baking spice, and a heavy, oily body. Set it over a large cube.
At this mash, wood, and strength, caramel and vanilla lead, with cinnamon and dark fruit standing out on the palate. The sip is dense and warming. Charred oak and spice ride a long finish as the cube brings the heat down.
