Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon Whiskey is Bardstown's flagship small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled in a glass replica of the patented Willett pot still built by Vendome. Wheat in the mash (65% corn, 20% wheat, 15% barley) is why the sip stays creamy, and a 115-proof barrel entry keeps lemon-cake vanilla from being buried in wood. Small batches, often about a dozen barrels, are bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV). A weeknight pour.
Vanilla lemon cake, caramel, and honey open, then citrus and baking spice stand out on the palate in a light-to-medium body. Cinnamon and a last thread of caramel linger on a medium, spicy finish.
