Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 90 Proof is the Versailles house bourbon in a 1.75 L bottle: 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malt, fermented six days, triple-distilled in copper pot and column stills, and aged in new charred oak in heat-cycled warehouses. Bottled at 90.4 proof (45.2% ABV). Dried fruit, mint, and cocoa come from that long ferment and copper. The house bottle for weekend pours.
Dried fruit, orange, and cocoa lead, then citrus, cinnamon, and toffee stand out on the palate in a chewy, rounded sip. Vanilla and tobacco spice ride through. The finish is silky and almost creamy, with a long, warm tail of caramel and chocolate.
