Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof Bourbon 119.5 Proof is the late-2024 annual from Versailles: more than a hundred barrels from mixed production dates, warehouses, and floors, bottled at the batch’s own 119.5 proof (59.75% ABV) with no water. Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall keeps the house 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley mash, then lets heat-cycled warehouse rest concentrate peanut-butter toffee, sorghum, and dried fruit. Limited Master’s Collection in 700 mL. An after-dinner dram.
Peanut-butter toffee and cooked banana lead, with vanilla and cherry fruit leather behind them. Sorghum butter, clove, and nutmeg stand out on the palate; the sip is creamy and drinks below its proof, and the finish runs long on dry berry chutney and oak caramel.
