Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof Bourbon 124.7 Proof
Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof Bourbon 124.7 Proof
Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof Bourbon 124.7 Proof is the 2023 annual, the first Batch Proof after Elizabeth McCall became master distiller, bottled with Chris Morris as master distiller emeritus. About 120 barrels of the house mash, undiluted at 124.7 proof (62.35% ABV), in the 700 mL size Woodford moved to that year. McCall called the trademark flavors more pronounced and more bold at this strength. Sip it with friends.
Toasted almond, cherry, and overripe banana open, with citrus zest and pepper behind them. Cardamom, pine, and baking spice stand out on the palate; the sip is semi-dry and firm, and the finish closes on leather, cedar, and dry vanilla.
