Yellowstone 2020 Limited Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is Limestone Branch's annual small-batch from Lebanon, Kentucky: seven-year bourbon finished about five months in French Armagnac casks, then bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV). Steve Beam stopped the brandy wood when honey, vanilla, and stone fruit lifted the bourbon instead of burying it. About 5,000 cases. Keep it for a slow evening sip.
Honeydew, vanilla, and burnt orange lead, then dried plum, caramel, and leather stand out on the palate in a medium, velvety sip. Toasted coconut and lingering oak close a warm, medium-long finish.
