The recipe is 62% Kentucky bourbon aged 9 years, 18% Kentucky bourbon aged 13 years, 10% Georgia bourbon aged 10 years with wheat in the mash, 8% Kentucky bourbon aged 6 years, and 2% Tennessee bourbon aged 10 years. The wheated Georgia share rounds the rye spice, and the older Kentucky whiskey brings toasted pecan, maple, and baked cherry forward.
Bardstown tastes toasted pecan, maple, baked cherry, vanilla cream, hazelnut, and cocoa, with spice on the close. Breaking Bourbon found vanilla cream, caramel, dried cherry, and cinnamon on a flavorful palate, then dry oak and leather. Mostly Bourbon called the mouthfeel creamy, with peach, cherry, and a long cinnamon finish.
