Bardstown Bourbon Company Fusion Series Bourbon Whiskey is Fusion #8, the 2022 blend that put the distillery’s own 4-year bourbon in the glass with older Kentucky whiskey. The recipe is 58% of a 4-year high-rye Bardstown bourbon, 12% of a second 4-year Bardstown bourbon, and 30% of a 12-year Kentucky bourbon. Bottled at 95.5 proof. The younger whiskey brings the spice; the 12-year keeps it round.
Caramel and honey sit with apricot, baked apple, and mint, then baking spice and a flash of black pepper. Breaking Bourbon called it balanced and easy for the proof, with a medium finish that stays on caramel and nutmeg.
