It was matured in ex-bourbon and specialty wine casks, bringing both cask types into a full-strength 750 mL bottling. This is a direct expression of peat, with sweetness and coastal notes providing contrast.
Peat smoke leads, cut by bright citrus and the rounded sweetness of barley sugar. Vanilla adds a softer note without covering the whisky’s peated core. Brine and charred oak leave the finish savory and wood-driven. A small amount of water can help adjust the intensity of the cask-strength pour.
