Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the unpeated signature, bottled at 100 proof from 100% Scottish barley. Trickle distillation in tall copper stills keeps the spirit floral and bright, then the whisky matures on Islay, mostly in ex-bourbon casks with a smaller share of wine wood that changes by batch. That wine share adds fruit around the barley. It is non-chill-filtered, and no color is added.
Whisky Advocate found lemon, peach, melon, and grass, with honey and vanilla beside them. Barley sugar and sweet oak stay in the glass. The texture is honeyed, and the finish runs long on fruit, honey, and spice.
