Buchanan’s Green Seal Blended Scotch Whisky is Buchanan’s brighter luxury blend, and the reason to buy it is the fruit. Master blender Craig Wallace built it around a Glen Elgin single malt that had never been bottled on its own, fermented with a wine yeast so the center of the glass tastes tropical, then folded in American oak bourbon casks that add toffee and apricot. It is a permanent blended Scotch, made for Diageo’s Buchanan’s house and bottled at 80 proof, with less peat than the brand’s other luxury pours, so the fruit stays in front.

Zesty citrus and pineapple lead, with creamy milk chocolate, vanilla, and dried fruit close behind. The texture stays creamy, and warm wood spice, toffee, and a last note of baking spice finish the sip.
