Buffalo Trace Kosher Straight Rye Whiskey

Buffalo Trace Kosher Straight Rye Whiskey is a straight rye whiskey from Buffalo Trace’s kosher program, bottled at 94 proof and released once a year after Passover. The mash is the distillery’s rye bill, the one behind Sazerac Rye, aged 7 years in Frankfort in barrels the Chicago Rabbinical Council kept on their own. A non-Jewish owner held those barrels through the holiday, and the line is cleaned before this rye is bottled. The cRc mark is on the label. The bottle is not kosher for Passover.

Rye spice, citrus, and clove lead, with caramel and oak underneath. The finish stays warm, clove and citrus lingering with the oak.
