Cazcanes makes this unaged agave spirit in Hostotipaquillo, Jalisco, from Blue Weber agave, and bottles it additive free. Batch No. NR2601 arrives at 98.2 proof, which is more strength than most unaged agave spirits carry, and you notice it in the weight rather than in any burn.
Cooked agave is the anchor, sweet and vegetal, with citrus cutting across the top. Underneath there's a green, herbal streak and a stony mineral edge that keeps things dry. Black pepper and tropical fruit turn up together late, and the pepper stays a beat longer.
This is a straightforward everyday bottle from the 2026 release, good over a single large cube or in a highball where the citrus and minerality do the work. It also holds up in a margarita without disappearing behind the lime. Comes in the standard 750 mL.
