Strathisla single malt runs through the blend, with Strathclyde grain whisky and other Speyside malts beside it. Master blender Sandy Hyslop places the heart of the house style in Speyside, and those extra years on the whiskies are what turn orchard fruit and honey into a rounder pour.
Crisp apple and pear, wild heather, and honey come first, then vanilla, hazelnut, and butterscotch. The mouthfeel is round and creamy. The finish lingers on the honey.
