Coppercraft Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Coppercraft Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the distillery’s ongoing single-cask bourbon, bottled in Holland, Michigan, one barrel at a time. Coppercraft selects mature Indiana whiskey, often the Lawrenceburg mash of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, and ages it in standard 53-gallon white oak. The current distillery line is aged a minimum of 11 years. Proof moves with the barrel. Each cask is chosen rather than dumped into the small-batch blend. This is not barrel 407.
Citrus lifts the glass against dark chocolate, molasses, and vanilla, the notes Coppercraft prints for this program. The body is full. The finish is toasty, oak and cocoa drying the sweetness, with enough rye spice from that mash to keep it from sitting heavy.
