Crown Royal Monarch 75th Anniversary Blend Canadian Whisky is the 2014 limited blend Andrew MacKay built for the brand's seventy-fifth year, bottled at 80 proof in Gimli, Manitoba. The mix includes whisky from the distillery's historic Coffey rye still, which is why this anniversary bottle leans more rye bread and baking spice than Deluxe. It marks the 1939 royal-visit story that started Crown Royal. It is Canadian whisky, not Scotch, and it is not Golden Apple or the Noble Collection.

Vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch open on dried fruit and a clear rye spice of cinnamon and clove. Oak is present but balanced, with a little coffee-bean roast in the middle. The mouthfeel is creamy and light. The finish is medium to long, warm, and slightly dry, still spiced, still sweet.
