Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished Blended Canadian Whisky, Release No. 4 is the fourth limited Noble Collection bottling: Crown Royal Fine De Luxe finished 3 to 4 months in new French oak from the Vosges, then bottled at 80 proof. The oak is air-seasoned for two years and fire-toasted in two steps rather than charred, a tight-grain wood that adds vanilla and baking spice without burying the blend. Distilled and matured at Gimli, it is this specific French-oak release, not another Noble Collection cask.
Dark caramel and creamy vanilla lead, with toasted oak and a lift of dried red fruit. Peppery baking spice moves forward, then eases back into sweet fruit. The mouthfeel is creamy. The finish is long, mildly sweet, and still spiced.
