Dimple Pinch 15 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky is Haig’s 15-year blend for the American market — the same liquid as Haig Dimple, in the three-sided pinched bottle — bottled here at 86 proof in a 1.75 L. Glenkinchie and Linkwood lead a mix of some thirty malt and grain whiskies, all at least fifteen years old, matured in American oak. John Haig’s Cameronbridge grain is the historical backbone. Easy to keep on the bar for weeknight sipping.
Caramel and honey lead, with apple, butter, and dried fruit in the middle and warm malt behind them. The sip is creamy, then a short earthy close of peat, burnt caramel, and sea salt. Sweet, malty, and lightly smoky — built for a generous pour.
