This is a richly fruited extra añejo. Don Fulano Imperial begins with Blue Weber agave from Los Altos, Jalisco, then spends 5 years in European oak and Oloroso sherry casks. It is additive free, allowing the agave and cask influence to stand clearly on their own.
Dried cherry and apricot give the tequila a generous fruit character, while clove adds a firm line of spice. Chocolate brings depth to the finish without obscuring the cooked agave beneath it. Bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV), it has the strength to carry those darker flavors while remaining approachable as a neat pour. The 750 mL bottle suits relaxed evenings as readily as a celebratory pour.
