Glenfiddich Experimental Series Project XX is twenty casks chosen by twenty Glenfiddich ambassadors from sixteen countries, married by Brian Kinsman: seventeen ex-bourbon barrels, two sherry butts, and one port pipe. The name is the Roman twenty. It is bottled at 94 proof without chill filtration so the vatting keeps its weight, and later batches recreate that original mix. Fits a cold-weather night as easily as an after-dinner dram.

Apple blossom and plump pear lead, with vanilla oak, golden sugar, and a touch of liquorice. Candyfloss sweetness fills the middle, then toasted almond, cinnamon, and a crisp tannin. The finish is long, sweet oak. Mellow at first, then the wood grips.
