Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Highland single malt is built on patience and barley, and this one drinks like a whisky that has spent its time in wood picking up sweetness rather than sharp edges. It is a Scotch for the middle of the week, not a special occasion.

Caramel and vanilla lead, soft and rounded, with dried fruit sitting underneath and giving the palate some weight. Baking spice and roasted nuts come through as it warms, and toasted oak tightens the finish without turning dry or tannic. At 80 proof (40% ABV) it is gentle enough to sip straight from the bottle, and it holds up fine over ice if that is how you take your Scotch.
