Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited 13-year-old Tale-series malt, bourbon-matured then finished in Sicilian Marsala casks and bottled non-chill-filtered at 92 proof. Marsala is what knits cocoa, Brazil-nut toffee, and baking spice onto the fruit. This is a cold-weather pour.
Oxidised fruit, orange toffee, lavender honey, and rose lead. The sip is juicy and viscous, a little peppery, then cocoa, red pepper, Brazil-nut toffee, and sweet malt. Demerara sugar and a long swirl of clove, ginger, and cinnamon close it.
