Ledaig 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is Tobermory Distillery’s peated malt from the Isle of Mull: Concerto barley smoked to about 30–40 ppm, ten years in ex-bourbon casks, bottled at 92.6 proof without chill filtration or added color. The same stills make unpeated Tobermory; Ledaig is the smoky twin, and Mull’s coastal air shows up as brine and salt beside the peat. Save it for an after-dinner dram when you want smoke with a maritime edge.
Sweet brine and firm smoke lead, with mild antiseptic, creosote, wax polish, and mint chocolate behind them. The sip is oily and a little medicinal: pepper, dried fruit, vanilla, and malty cream under rich peat. White pepper, liquorice, clove, and lingering salt close the finish.
