Cristalino tequila is filtered clear after aging, and this one drinks the way that suggests: soft, easy, with the weight of a rested spirit and none of the color. It works neat over ice, and it holds its shape in a margarita or a paloma without disappearing behind the lime.

Ripe banana leads, sweetened by molasses, with baking spice and cedar giving it some grip. Tobacco and toasted oak sit underneath, the mark of time in ex-bourbon barrels. At 80 proof (40% ABV), it stays gentle rather than sharp, which is much of the appeal.
