Oban The Soul of Calypso 11 Year Old 2023 Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Oban The Soul of Calypso 11 Year Old 2023 Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Oban The Soul of Calypso 11 Year Old 2023 Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the limited 2023 Spirited Xchange bottling from Oban, Coastal Highlands, Scotland: eleven-year malt finished in Caribbean pot-still rum casks and bottled at cask strength, 116 proof (58% ABV). The rum wood is why sugar cane and mango stand out on the palate beside the sea breeze. Sit with a large cube and let the tropical salt unfurl.
Sea breeze, lemon citrus, and mango meet sugar cane and a hint of iodine. The mouthfeel is oil-smooth—sweet, richly fruity, and lightly salty—then an insistently spicy, cooling finish that keeps the coastal malt in the glass.
