Onikishi Demon Knight Blended Japanese Whisky is Milestone's Hyogo blend from Taka-cho: whisky aged in American white oak and bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV). That oak is why honey and vanilla show up with a little cedar warmth at an easy highball strength. Build a highball on a weeknight.
Honey and vanilla rush the first sip, then caramel coats the middle. Cedar smoke and yuzu citrus stand out on the palate; the body is medium and easy, and the finish returns to white oak with a bright zest of yuzu.
