Russell’s Reserve Single Rickhouse Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Russell’s Reserve Single Rickhouse Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the 2022 inaugural limited bottling in the series: seventy-two barrels from the dismantled Camp Nelson rickhouse C, taken from the center-cut third and fourth floors, aged over ten years, bottled at barrel-proof 112.4 and non-chill filtered. The warehouse sat on a hill by the Kentucky River, timber-framed and tin-clad; that airy, riverside aging is what you taste as toffee, coconut, and vanilla with a silky coat. Center-cut selection is the sweetness Eddie called five-star liquid. Share it sipping with friends.
Caramel, vanilla, and toffee lead, then coconut, apple, and toasted pecan fill a thick sip with chocolate and baking spice. The finish is long and silky: cinnamon, a little tobacco, and lingering sweetness. At 112.4 proof it drinks rich rather than hot, with dark fruit standing out on the palate through the close.
