Smoke Wagon Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Smoke Wagon Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Smoke Wagon Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey is Nevada H&C's high-rye house pour: MGP 60% corn / 36% rye / 4% malted barley, desert-aged in Nevada, with younger barrels for fruit and spice blended to older #4-char stock for cream and caramel, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), non-chill filtered. The rye-heavy mash is why white pepper sits in the middle; the older barrels are why caramelized wood sugar rounds the sip. Serve it over a large cube.
Dried apricot and caramel lead, with vanilla and oak behind them. White pepper, rye spice, and green peppercorn stand out on the palate; the mouthfeel is creamy then spicy, and the finish dries on oak, leather, and lingering rye heat.
