Huber's Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Barrels is a single-barrel Indiana bourbon from the Huber farm in Starlight: sweet-mash distillate from 3-grain and 4-grain mash bills, aged four years in new charred American oak, then finished more than eight months in an estate Knobstone port cask. Bottled at 98.6 proof, the port wood pulls toffee and raisin onto the farm bourbon. Open it in cold weather.
Toffee and raisin lead, with vanilla, praline, and dark berry fruit filling a creamy sip. The port stays in balance with the grain. Concord grape, sweet cream, and soft oak close a moderate, warming finish.
