Starlight Distillery Double Oaked Bourbon Whiskey is estate Indiana bourbon from a 4- to 6.5-year blend of Carl T. 3-grain and 4-grain mash bills, transferred into a second freshly charred or toasted new oak barrel for three to eight months. That extra new oak deepens caramel, vanilla, and toasted sugar. The standard small batch is bottled at 103 proof, unfined and unfiltered. Keep it for a fireside pour.
Toffee and roasted nuts lead, with dark chocolate, caramel, and toasted vanilla filling a rich sip. Gentle rye spice and baking spice keep the sweetness in check. Caramel, toasted oak, and soft spice hang on a long, warming finish.
