Stranahan’s Diamond Peak American Single Malt Whiskey is the oldest new-char casks from the Denver warehouse: 100% malted barley, four years in #3-char American oak, non-chill filtered, and cut to 94 proof with Rocky Mountain water. Extra time in virgin oak pulls dried fruit and butterscotch onto the malt. Make it a weeknight pour.
Dried fruit and caramel lead, with butterscotch and toasted malt filling a creamy sip. Coffee and baking spice stand out on the palate. Leather and a rolling, warm finish keep it from turning soft.
