The Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a three-cask Highland malt: used bourbon barrels, three-decade Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts, and Cabernet Sauvignon casks from Saint-Estèphe in Bordeaux, matured about 10 to 15 years, then married. Bottled at 88 proof (44% ABV). Pour it when the evening stretches.
Orange zest, cinnamon, and vanilla lead, with fig, plum, and cherry behind them. Dark chocolate and roasted coffee stand out on the palate; the mouthfeel is lush and warmly spiced, and the finish leans into chocolate, coffee, and crushed spice.
