The Glen Grant 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Glen Grant 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Glen Grant 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a Speyside malt from Rothes, matured fifteen years exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) without chill filtration. Tall, slender stills with water-cooling purifiers keep heavier vapors out of the spirit, so first-fill bourbon can lay honeydew, vanilla, and apricot onto a floral, orchard-fruited distillate. Dennis Malcolm called this his favourite Glen Grant. Pour it over a large cube.
Floral citrus and apple open, with honeydew melon and caramel filling a silky sip. Honey, vanilla, and apricot marmalade stand out on the palate, then malt and soft spice linger on a long, malty finish.
