Bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV), this is a Speyside single malt built for easy drinking rather than heavy lifting. The strength keeps things gentle, so the fruit comes through clearly and the whisky stays soft from start to finish.
Stone fruit leads: apricot and peach, with crisp apple behind them. Underneath sits something richer, a toffee-covered banana sweetness that gives the malt some weight without turning heavy. Cinnamon and orange lift the close, warm and bright at the same time.
The custom rum-and-bourbon fusion casks are what shape all of that, bringing together two very different maturation traditions in one malt. It drinks well neat, and it holds up in a highball if that is how you take your Scotch on a weeknight. The 750 mL bottle is an easy one to keep open on the shelf.
